I discovered abstract art autodidactically, as a means of expressing the emotional ups and downs of my career as an entrepreneur. I create paintings in acrylic, oil, and gouache, mostly on canvas, in the tradition of Abstract Expressionism. I consider myself a purist and only use the simplest materials, avoiding any technological frill. Although my work appears to be harmonious, there is often a dichotomy between positive and negative. By applying colors of opposing hues and shades and heightening the contrast between light and shadow, I can see how pain and joy, misfortune and success, sadness and happiness alternate and enable the creation of a positive field of tension. My emotional experience is conveyed through the vibration of bold, highly saturated pigments, which transmit positive energy to the viewer.
