In our loud, fast and superficial time, quiet tones and minimalist forms are often more haunting and intense than anything noisy and obtrusive. For me, minimalism is the basis of creativity; omitting the superfluous and limiting it to the essential. On this fundamental basis, my own forms and color designs emerge.
In my search for a means of expression that is bold and self-sustaining, I came across the bottle cap. As an everyday and universally usable object, the bottle cap has incredible versatility and expressive potential. It creates a three-dimensional effect, sometimes creating textures and cast shadows that are planned or arise spontaneously during the process. Although this object is immediately recognizable, the ambiguity created by its abstractness offers an infinite number of possibilities and interpretations.
Each of my works is meant to speak for itself. However, I am driven by the question of how to find solutions as an artist so that my visions of bottle caps, colors, and shapes blend together. For this reason, I work in series. This gives me the opportunity to fully develop my ideas and to have a continuing dialogue between my images.
