Through painting, I am able to express a flow of emotions that I put into words. My art is exploratory; sometimes naive, sometimes abstract, sometimes figurative. Impulsion guides my work, according to what I feel, what I live, what I love, or what hurts me. I paint to free myself of my suffering, my negative emotions, and from my dark thoughts that, at times, haunt the corners of my mind. I paint to relax, because while creating, I am free of thought. I paint to release anger and frustration but I also paint when I am happy and when my emotions take me to the highest peaks; my work is then tinted with a tad of joy, with lightness.
I started to improve my technical skills while painting with gouache; this allowed me to develop my style and my artistic personality. My emotions quickly change, so that makes it difficult to specifically define my style. In the beginning, I focused more on the abstract, but when I began experimenting with acrylic on canvas, I allowed myself to explore creating figurative work.
My work is figurative blended with abstraction. I love to paint the unreal, the imaginative, and the impulsive. I create from my heart and this is how I want to touch people.
