Color is the soul of my work; its exaltation and contrasts make me vibrate high. For me color is synonymous with life and the philosophy I embrace "To love, value, and respect the life of all beings that inhabit this world."
Abstraction always plays a role in my paintings, whether partially or fully, as does texture. Although my media of choice are acrylic paint and synthetic enamel, I like to combine different materials and techniques such as oils, asphalt paint, inks, and collage. I alternate between thick layers of paint applied with a spatula and small, refined strokes made with the finest brushes. I also like to use rubber rollers.
I generally choose themes that are related to the pursuit of truth; a pursuit that must be undertaken inside and not outside ourselves, because it is within us that real transformation takes place. Nothing changes collectively unless the individual changes first. Through my art, I convey ideas of peace, love, faith, solidarity, and harmony between humanity, nature, and the cosmos.
I like to transmit the mystical and magical. There is a symbolism that is repeated in many of my works, such as the eye. It is the eye that tries to see and find the truth by diving inside me; it is the same one that observes what happens around me and allows me to learn, drawing my own conclusions through my intuition.
