My work is not intended to show the aesthetic beauty of the horse but rather, its inner intensity; I like to portray that world without words, a world of pure emotions.Â
The sensitivity of the horse introduced me into a world of mysterious dialogue, where I could fully embrace my artistic expression. Horses are the real protagonists in this series; I accompany them and let their forms merge with my vision. I watch them, play with them and slowly enter their world. And when that happens, everything is in harmony and I am able to capture the best pictures.Â
My art is a transmission of feeling and my creative process is based on the need for freedom; I feel free when behind the camera. Ninety-five percent of my photography are black and white because I am amazed with the depth that monochromatic images provide. I like to play with light, shadows and contrast. A strong image on its own or an image that can be barely seen in the dark; showing that we can find emotions even though we can’t see clearly. And that is something that fortunately I can choose.
I want to share my work with the world so that people can enjoy it and spread it. I want the viewer to see beyond the photos and begin an exchange of different perspectives and interpretations.
