The landscapes I depict are fantastical representations of the Ecuadorian Andes. They are places I visited in my imagination; ideals of beauty where the mind can escape and contemplate the glory of nature. I combine the knowledge acquired during my architecture studies with the skilled execution of traditional painting techniques. Although my medium of choice is oil paint, I also work with acrylic, watercolor, and ink. Drawing inspiration from the dramatic atmospheres of Romantic paintings, I create elaborate compositions of striking visual power; pristine environments untouched by man; mystical windows into natural utopias.
