Art has been always been significant in my life; my first body of work was empirical. Years later, I started studying fine art at the National Center of the Arts in El Salvador where I specialized in oil, acrylic, and drypoint painting.
I focus on themes inspired by daily life and the landscape that surrounds me; the beach, the mountains, the farms, the coffee plantations, and all of the people who live there, as well as all the fauna and flora that is part of the tropics. These subjects are what I capture and depict in my work, created using mixed media techniques where I combine oil, acrylic, watercolor, and engraving.
