I employ a range of contemporary artistic expressions, while also drawing inspiration from ancient cave paintings, symbols on ceramics, and textile weaves from the vernacular and western traditions.Â
I paint what and how I feel, channeling inner depth and transcending the objective world. I employ a vibrant color palette and often use the natural world as a subject; opening my palette wide, I play freely with blues, greys, reds, yellows, greens and mauves, as well as earthy colors and textures, whatever the composition demands.
The aesthetics of my art engage with beauty, vitality and sensuality, and my oeuvre takes the viewer beyond the tangible and obvious. My work is reflective of ecological and environmental concerns, and they flow from my love for nature, beauty and aesthetics. Among my works are murals, sculptures, furniture, lights and chandeliers, textiles, and paintings. My aesthetic sensibility and positivity is reflected in the finesse and multiplicity of genres in my work.
