I create many different styles of digital art. I have produced over one thousand abstracts, landscapes, seascapes, holiday-themed paintings, and still lifes. Studying Art History in graduate school has had a strong influence on my work; particularly the Renaissance and early Egyptian historical periods. I am fascinated by their portrayals of life and ancient hieroglyphic inscriptions, which I incorporate into my paintings in various forms.
I use three mediums of painting: digital watercolor, digital oil, and digital pencil. I create my abstracts predominantly by using oil paint as my background base and later applying a second layer of digital watercolor. The fluidic billows of digital watercolor pour over the oil and completely hide all visual existence of it, leaving only shaded, ridged, shadowed edges of excess brush strokes. I regard multi-dimensional abstracts as my greatest inspiration. The palatable thought of creation I portray on my digital canvas speaks volumes. It gives a different depth of pleasure for my viewer to see with every look. My art, I feel, portrays more deeply the expressions from my thoughts, as time passes, with each piece I create.
