Since childhood, I have been fascinated by the illustrations I saw in books, in magazines, and was mesmerized by seeing works of art first hand. In my adolescence, I began taking classes in classical drawing techniques and since then have continued my creative practice.
I always search for beauty and the themes most present in my work are inspired by my everyday life; what I have seen with my eyes, that which surrounds me and that is beautiful and exciting whether it be from a cup of tea to a couple in love, to the human form or a countryside landscape. My work is a combination of figurative realism and abstraction; working mainly with oil on canvas, board or paper and at times introducing other media and techniques.
