My photographic work explores ideas of memory, the passage of time, and empty spaces. Using minimalism and fragmentation, I bring my viewers into the inner labyrinths of my subjects. I am intrigued by the concept of ‘The Void.’ So, I invite my audience to a timeless place of diffused spatiality, as a way of experiencing contemplation, when immersed in unoccupied spaces.
In the end, my main goal is to capture the beauty of simplicity through abstraction or rendering subtle images that emphasize minutiae elements.
I use both digital and film cameras to create simple images and photo collages, which I use as the foundation for my archival pigment print pieces. These are applied to a variety of supports such as paper, canvas, or aluminum. I also employ diptychs and triptychs in some of my works.
