Walking around my city, Coimbatore in southern India, or traveling through Asia, my camera in hand, I capture the symmetry and patterns of urban landscapes and the simple objects I find along the way or in my own home. My inspiration blossoms as I travel or peruse works by the Old Masters, arranging compositions that hail back to 16th and 17th century paintings. Adding my own sensitivity to the images, I offer new angles of reflection on deceptively sterile environments. I believe that, no matter the medium, art should not be seen or heard, but felt and experienced and I wish this to be true for my work.
