Canadian artist Tyice Natasha creates lyrical pieces in movement, images of pure expressionism both raw and harmonic. Tracing the movement of water with painted strokes and lines on each canvas, Natasha explores our intrinsic connection with the element of water that both sustains and nurtures us throughout the entire life cycle. Each piece is set to music and accompanied by poetry inspired by the image. She calls her method “conceptual expressionism,” where the freedom of abstract expression, with all its magical colors and forms, is fused with rhythm and lyrical phrases to create a visual expression that reaches the very soul.
Natasha strives for each piece to “become visually poetic and lyrical to the viewer, so the poem or phrase, title and colors used in the image together become one.” In this way, the imagery of water is offered as a healing vibration for the observer, “a movement of pure love when the observer recognizes himself/herself as being ‘home’ internally in divine oneness.” This is her artistic gift to the world.
