Abandoning any trace of realism or representation in favor of beautiful, profound abstractions, Natasha Parenta’s fluidly stylistic approach to abstract symbolism is deeply rooted in both her personal identity as an artist and in a powerful bond with the spirituality of nature. An emotional energy surges through her art, with a passion and spontaneity that touches upon a transcendent universal connection and awareness. As Parenta creates her mixed media paintings on canvas she works with a variety of oils, inks, pigments, and solvents. Each of her works frequently focuses on a single, boldly saturated hue; cool indigo, aqua, violet, and rich crimson. From this base color, Parenta further refines her vision in monochromatic movements, creating curved, amorphously cellular forms, and sweeping trails of drips and swirls and metallic sprays.

Born in Adelaide, Australia where she still lives and works, Natasha Parenta graduated with an advanced diploma in Visual Arts from the North Adelaide School of Art. 		Natasha Parenta
