My method of creating artwork is through using the technique of printmaking. It is a difficult process, but for me it has great charm, partly because it combines precision and thought with the potential for casual, accidental discoveries which sometimes are what perfects a piece – just like in life. I focus on themes which cannot be governed, such as nature and time, and these continually inspire my work. I prefer to work in a way that reflects pure, organic concepts, reminiscent of the snowy place where I grew up, where the severity and majesty of nature influenced both my character then and my art as an adult.
