Laura Almerico

There are things that are done simply for the sake of doing it, not for money, but just for passion and for love. This is precisely how I feel about painting. In my artwork the color selection is a fundamental key for expressing my concept of art. I play with contrasts:white and white; grey and pink. I have fun creating new layers of color. My taste is instinctive and not built from pre-established rules. Sometimes I dream my artwork as a dress that I would like to wear, or I might connect more geometric figures that in turn create new shapes with their combination. I love experimenting with different techniques, choosing many colors to create various tones and mixing materials. I express my creativity through my paintings with total freedom, following my instinct like a running horse. I hope to express to the viewer my message of audacity, my joy of living and a sense of lightness.
