Geometrically abstract with fluid, dynamic inversions of color, shape and line, painter Frank Seves seeks to articulate his depth of emotion and breadth of feeling visually. Using classical Abstract Expressionist techniques combined with the precision and meticulousness of Geometric Abstraction, Seves voices human sensation through unadulterated color and exactness of shape. Above all else, he is purely authentic in his work, striving to envelop the viewer thoroughly in his individual experience of the world surrounding each of us. Seves’s forms glide through his canvases in painterly, sinuous brushstrokes, inducting us into an exceptional sphere of fantastical color. A self-taught artist, he works in the vein of the “naïf’ painters, such as Henri Rousseau. Approaching his canvases with no preconceptions, his vision is untainted by judgment, bias or presumption. The resulting compositions are intoxicating in their soulful essence, the life of their spirit so strong as to be almost tangible.
Born near Paris, Frank Seves has exhibited throughout his native France.
