Antenor Romanini

Blending realism and abstraction with a joyful freedom inspired by the vibrant rhythms and energy of his homeland, self-taught Brazilian artist Antenor Romanini has his own trademark techniques and style. Architecture, botanical studies, and figures both fashionably modern and infused with indigenous culture emerge from the expressive brushstrokes of Romanini’s paintings in acrylic on canvas. “Being in this world without leaving any marks is like never having existed,” the artist declares. “So I leave my mark for the world to appreciate what was going through my mind at that particular day. Translated into colors and shapes, my thoughts create pictures that illustrate the feelings that emanated from my soul.”

Now living in Parana, Brazil, Antenor Romanini spent much of his life in a career in advertising. The skills and awareness of the world learned then came into play when, later in life, he felt a sudden inspiration to express himself creatively. Since then he has explored his artistic drive and abilities in depth, allowing his passion for creation to become a vital part of his life and self.
