Who says that viewers must identify an image to feel, that eyes must identify components to make sense of things, or that paintings should make statements?  Michigan-born kenneth martin believes that, to reflect peoples’ outsides, a camera does the job.  To see their insides, reflective expression is needed.  Mr. martin’s youthful non-conformance formed the basis for his later desire to present emotional characteristics instead of facial features. His leaving a financial career to raise children produced a backbone in dealing with society’s displeasure against norms.  His mother’s death from cancer motivated kenneth martin to sprint into an art career.  And, his struggle with ADHD made it easy to filter out impediments that turn internal creative embodiment into technicalities or copying.
